OPERATION PATUXENT (OpPax*)
Every first Friday in August, the Circle of Angels returns to the Solomons Pavilion to commemorate WWII and honor warfighters who trained at two WWII sites in Maryland - the top secret amphibious training base at Solomons and the still operational Naval Air Station - Patuxent (NAS-Pax).
*Besides being the nickname for the Patuxent River that encircles Solomon's Island, Pax means peace in Latin and the Circle of Angels is all about that and more.
